New Kimbers with the Series II firing pin safety...

I've dried fired one and it wasn't too terrible. I was drooling over a Custom Eclipse II and a Pro Eclipse II recently. Some creep but the guy showing them to me assured me they could be cleaned up a bit. As he explained it to me, unlike the Series 80 Colts, the safety accuates off the grip safety not the trigger so it is much easier to get a good trigger on a Kimber II type safety than a Series 80 type.

I am currently buying a house and that is the only reason I am not in possesion of either of the aforementioned pistolas.

I own a Custom Eclipse II (shown below) that has the infamous firing pin safety. Since this model has an adjustable trigger, I was able to tune it down and remove creep, now its crisp and just right. Out of the box, trigger was 4lbs - after 400 rds. of hardball ammo it is now 3.5lbs:D
