New Kimber

Well I finally got around to picking up a new Custom II and I think my Sigs are getting a little nervous. The fit and finish are actually
above what I expected. I only put a few rounds through it last
night to check for reliability of a new target round I am working
up. The only complaints I have are with the stock mag. and the cheesy plastic box the pistol came in. I will use the Wilson-Rogers
mags I have to break it in before trying the stock magazine. I'm
thinking it would be fun to do a full blown accuracy test between
it, my Sig 220 and my HK USP .45. Anybody like to make any
predictions on which will be most accurate. Jeff

With all due respect to your Sig and HK (the compact version of which I really like), the Kimber will smoke them in the accuracy department.

I am no longer convinced that my target 22 is more accurate than my Kimber.

Hey JeffG,

I had both an HK USP40F and a Kimber Custom Stainless Target II.

The Kimber had it hands down in accuracy. Even my dad, who doesn't like 1911s and preferred my USP, admitted he shot better with the Kimber.

The USP has it hands down in the reliability department, though.

I like Kimbers just fine but in the accuracy dept the P 220 will likely smoke the others and the vast majority of any auto pistols made today. It is without a doubt the one of the most accurate out of the box pistols I have ever seen, excluding the Sig P 210 of course.

I dunno, I'd pick my P220 over my Kimbers in a second for a defensive pistol but my Kimbers definitely win in the accuracy department (although not by much)

I think it boils down to which fits your grip the best..They are all more accurate than I am, so no problem here..

jeffg,

If you are going to test them in a Ransom, I'd put money on the Kimber.

If you are going to let me shoot them for accuracy, I'd put my money on the H&K. . . .

:D
