Kahr has a new gun on the site. Its bigger than the K series by approx .400" both directions. Looks very nice, classy wood grips and 4" barrel with tighter riflings...should be a shooter. I even has adjustable rear sights. 8+1 capacity......might be another winner. Shoot well

Nice, but I'm personally holding out for the MK45 with 5+1 cap. That would be a nice gun. Are you listening Kahr?

Now we're getting somewhere. :D I posted a reply awhile back about a bigger Kahr. My concept was a 5" gun with a "full size" frame. Built around a 10 round 9mm magazine (9 in .40, dare to dream, the 8 round 1911 mag for the .45 version). I think this would be a great carry gun, duty gun, and with adjustable sights, darn near the perfect IDPA SSP gun. This gun is a step in the right direction... only one more inch of barrel to go. Kahr... you're obviously listening... keep up the good work, you're almost there. ;)

My wish list is for Kahr to come out with a .45 that approximately the same size as the Officers ACP. That definitely would raise some eyebrows and no doubt be a good seller.

Good Shooting

Well, since it's a 'wish list', make mine an MKT - an MK9/40 with Titanium frame and slide to reduce weight. :D

I like the T but think they should have gone a little larger and maybe a double-stack magazine that holds 10 rounds so it can compete with most of the other mid-size guns in IDPA.

You know what?

I really like that piece. Durn it, with all of these nice 9mms floating about, looks like I'll have to add another cartridge to my pistol collection (which I haven't even started yet!). LOL

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

To me, the proportions look . . . wrong. Short slide, long grip.

Since it's the grip that causes 90% of concealment problems, they may as well have put a longer slide and barrel on it.

Rovert, funny that you should mention titanium. At the SHOT Show in 2000 I did a lot of work. I had my mechanical engineer with me at the show. I wanted a PM9 (called the MP9 then) with a titanium slide. There were serious problems with slide velocity, so we worked out that problem with the help from the engineer at STI and Sprinco. We met with Justin Moon and another engineer from Kahr. The titanium is hell on tooling and they had all the calculations ready to go. By the time we were done we had calculated the cost of the gun at about $600-$700 vs. $300-$400 for a standard PM9. All that trouble and expense to save 3 oz. An all titanium pistol would be over $1200 and the market is so small for it that it will not happen anytime soon.
