New Jersey County Scraps "Gun Court": Essex County's top judge has
scrapped a four-year-old program to crack down on chronic gun
offenders in Newark, saying there was no evidence it did anything to
curb crime. State Superior Court Assignment Judge Patricia Costello
said she no longer saw the benefit of setting aside a judge,
prosecutors and probation officers to handle the city's gun-possession
cases because the only verifiable result was higher bails.

Now, how long until they realize that their assault weapon ban is not accomplishing any public good either, and scrap that? :rolleyes:

I have been waiting for years. For either the stuff to hit the fan or for commonsense to break out. To my pleasant suprise, (despiter the doom and gloom crowd around here) it seems as if the later is happening. Gun control is costing democrats elections, CCW laws have relaxed and the AWB sunset. I think now is a great time to be a gun owner.
