New Jersey bureaucrat blames Pennsylvania for its gun crime problem

DeFazio called Hudson County's gun violence a "scourge and a disgrace."

"There isn't a country in the civilized world that has this sort of gun violence," he said.

No? Well, I guess that has a lot to do with your threshold for calling a country "civilized." Because Brazil has worse gun violence than the U.S., and also some of the biggest cities in the entire world. Sao Paolo, Rio De Janeiro... these are not civilized, major cities? They have rampant gun violence!

This DeFazio prosecutor schmuck is like any other politician, talking out his ass when he doesn't know jack -- or he does know, but refuses to admit what he knows: It's not the guns, it's the scumbag citizen criminals.

There have been 50 homicides in Hudson County this year, the highest total since 1989. Nearly half the homicides - 23 out of 50 - were shooting deaths, records show.

Hudson County Prosecutor Edward DeFazio blamed "the availability and access to hand guns, especially semiautomatic pistols.

Wait just a minute.

23 out of 50 homicides were gun-related, and this guy is blaming the HOMICIDE problem on GUN availability, when MORE THAN HALF OF THE HORRIBLE TERRIBLE HOMICIDES WERE COMMITTED WITHOUT GUNS.

You know, the wrong people get killed in carjackings. Why can't it be the jerks like this moron who lie to us about the root causes of violent crime? I wish for once criminals would make themselves useful and start targeting more judiciously, going after the people who are a threat to our political liberties.

New Jersey blames Pennsylvania for its gun crime (whatever that is) problem.

Bi-polar Massachusetts blames the rest New England in general and take weekly turns blaming individual states like VT, NH, and ME for their so-called gun problem.

New York blames other New England states and some southern states for their so-called gun problem.

The Cesspool on the Potomac (DC) blames VA for their "gun problems", MD blames VA....

Canuckistan.....er Canada is quick to blame the U.S. for its so-called gun problem.

Anyone besides me see a pattern here?:barf: Never accept responsibility for your own failed idiotic policy.

Blame Kalifornia since the Crips and Bloods started there and the politicians did nothing about it !

I blame the grocery store for me being fat. Its just far to easy for the big fat steaks to make it from there cooler to my grill. Oh yeah and all that bacon and eggs...

When are we going to convince the grocery stores that they are damaging the world by making it fat?

That's quite amusing. Being as I live in Philadelphia and work in Camden, I guess I have a right to speak on this subject. NJ gun laws are about some of the most stringent in the country. I'd go as far as to call them rediculous. Unless they shut down gun sales in the civilized world, criminals will find a way to get guns and kill people, no matter where they reside or choose to do their dirt. To the best of my knowledge, it has been illegal to even own a handgun in Washington DC for years, yet DC is generally high on the list of handgun homicides every year. Does a lot of good there, eh?

This loudmouth ought to go walk through Camden one day, and see the real essence of NJ's issues. Why doesn't he lobby to provide training/job's for any of the 5 hustler's/panhandler's who ask me for a "few bucks" every week? Why isn't he more concerned with the fact that you can drive through Gloucester City during the day, and see an HIV infested prostitute on almost every other corner? My guess is : "ANTI GUN" politicians, tend to appeal to the masses of those who don't know any better. Instead, they choose to "dress up" places like Camden with an aquarium, a waterfront concert venue, and so on. What a disguise! All it really does is attract tourists' and provide income to pay idiot's like him, while also providing unsuspecting prey for the predator's that lurk in some of those **** holes.

Maybe he's looking for a Job in Canada?

I wonder if they have a specific class for political science majors on finger pointing?

What do you expect from New Jerseys bureaucrats they think their residents are too inept to pump their own gasoline!

We can all see from the "social experiments" taking place in Britain and Australia how well banning weapons does. Britain is an island, and not a very big one, and they can't seem to keep a lid on violence. Even with their usual "creative reporting" of crimes.

Australia is, if you'll take a look, pretty well isolated, too. In answer to their sweeping firearms ban, they are reporting entire ship-loads of weapons arriving from China and Indonesia. Go figure.:barf:
