An ammendment was added to the defense appropriations bill which just passed the House Thursday which bans the sale of large caliber (i.e. .50 cal BMG) ammo and components to the public by the Department of Defense. Clinton pushed for this after a GAO report of 100,000 rds of ammo being sold as surplus in the past couple of years. So no more surplus ammo or reloadable brass, pulled bullets, etc. will be released for disposal. The noose is tightening on .50's. I predict they will be banned before Clinton leaves office, one way or another. Deer rifles, er, I mean sniper rifles will be next.
