New Ishy #1 MK 111 barrel(303)

I ordered one of these (New - RFI) barrels last week from Springfield Sporters. I figure that for $25 I can't get hurt too bad but I'm curious as to whether anyone has any experiance with these barrels? I'm wondering about the relative quality, if the bore size usually mikes more or less .312 or not, etc. It's going to replace one on a 1913 dated action (BSA) which has had 1/2 inch bobbed off the muzzle(to clean up damaged crown) but what's left is still well worn the whole length of the bore. I'll certainly get answers to these questions when I get the new barrel but thought that I'd see what I could learn from you guys. Thanks!

For starters, the bore size is (surprise!) .303. The groove diameter is .311-.312. I understand Springfield Sporters sells GI barrels, either replacement or takeoff.

The worst part of this is that I knew the right terminology, I just didn't sufficiently engage my brain before using the keyboard! This just shows the type of sharp eyed, knowledgable people found on this board :)
The barrel in question was made at the Ishapore military arsenel in India. I was hoping to find someone who has experiance of some sort with these barrels and, like Jim pointed out, I'm wondering about the consistancy of thr GROOVE diameter. Any other information would be welcome too.
