Today my first app for iPhone has been approved and I'd like to present it to you.

Range Buddy is the perfect app for gun enthusiasts to track both their collection of firearms and their performance at the range. This app allows you to maintain a detailed list of all your firearms including alerts for necessary maintenance on either a date or rounds-fired schedule. Track your success at the range quickly and easily and analyze results by exporting the details
Features
• Firearms list can include details such as model, cartridge, rounds fired and notes
• Maintenance tasks such as replacing barrels and rotating magazines can be scheduled to alert you by date or number of rounds fired
• Record your shooting session and calculate your final score by using either the default target or by taking a photo of your target
• Mean score is automatically calculated
• All details of range results and firearms lists can be exported to a spreadsheet and emailed

Visit the iTunes page for more informations and screenshots: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/range-buddy/id434083866

I'm opening this thread on different forums, I'll keep an eye on every thread for feedbacks about Range Buddy and suggestions for improvements.
As you can see I'm Swiss and english isn't my first language, thank you for being comprehensive.

Have a nice day

Sito

EDIT: rewritten the description

It doesn't look like it will calculate group size, or MOA. Am I correct in thinking that it does not?

"with all the informations"

"remember when you have change a barrel"

Grammar drives me away from apps. Makes me think it's a port over and full of misspellings and such.

Fortunately there aren't full sentences in the app and you just fill forms, but yes: my grammar is very bad...

No at the moment it doesn't calculate group size, only the score

I already received a similar question and since I'm very lazy I write the same thing here :)

Technically it's possible but at the moment it's quite hard to do because I'd like to consolidate this version before publishing it for Android.
I received a lot of good feedbacks and I want to implement them before developing a version for a new platform.

Great idea and am glad to see some more Apps for gun enthusiasts. I just downloaded this for my iPhone and will post back what I think. One quick suggestion, it'd be great to be able to take a pix and safe it in either the gun listing or the target data (ideally both). I read in your description that a pix can be included with the target info but I can't see how that's actually done.

Almost makes me want an iPhone.

Nice work SitoCH. I can guarantee you that your English is better than my Sweedish. Considering I don't speak any Sweedish. ;)

Someone should just make sure that Steve Jobs can't his hands on that information. He might find it handy to know where it was you shot so well:confused:

Range Buddy has been updated to version 1.1:

• Fixed a bug that showed the wrong content in the main tab group
• Now you can browse the series from the firearm detail
• Keep track of your reloads and link them to the series
• Choose a default target for every new series
• Rescale the target markers based on the zoom level

Range Buddy Target Scoring

Hi Sito, I'm a newbie to your Range Buddy app on IPad. I must be missing something but how do I enter shots on Target Scoring. Does the target need to be photographed or can the shots be entered manually?

I see it can export data, but can it import too? have both an iPhone and iPad and would like to be able to share the data between them.

Was playing around with the app and it isn't calculating the score correctly based on where I am manually placing the markers. Gave me a 70/70 when I didn't place a single marker in the 10 ring.
