Well just got the email from apple the iPad 3 is out for preorder, now the delimma guns or technology. I guess it would make using TFL easier thajuicing my iPhone.

Just wondering how others would rank their gun hobby vs their other hobbies or interests.

Saw another thread where someone coined the phrase FAD firearms acquisition disorder.

Why would you ever want an iPad? With a little effort you can find an Android device that is better in every way but the screen itself, and pay half the price or less.

Sorry, but iPad, much like iPhones, and iPods are for suckers. They always have been and always will be because Apple has never believed in treating their customers with respect and never will. They see everyone as sheep that need to be sheared as fast as they can grow their wool back.

Wasn't trying to start a debate on the apple (walled garden OS) vs others.
Wanting to see how people would rank their gun enthusiasm/hobby with other hobbies they have.

Hmm. Sometimes seems to me the Android fans are more vocal than the Apple ones ever have been.

I had a Samsung Galaxy Android 2.2 phone for about a year. Horrifically unstable. Things crashed all the time. Oh and I've built PCs for ages and know how to properly maintain operating systems. Was not user error.

Now I have had an iPhone 4 for about 4 months. I guess I'm a sucker, but my phone works when I need it to now, so I'll pay the price.

For heaven's sake, I had a PHONE CALL crash on my Android phone.

I think iPad 3 looks sweet. :)

This could be an interesting discussion, but I think it's probably going to be closed as not firearms related. No offense to OP. :)

Yeah, I probably went the wrong direction with that post, sorry about that.

A tablet or phone should last you 2 years. You can really only use one effectively at a time.

A gun should last you a lifetime, but you can own dozens and enjoy them all at the same time.

So guns win in my book.

Sure it's Firearms related. To some on the site it's part of their profession but to most its a hobby which we enjoy thus bringing us to this forum.

Hey you're fine. There's a good deal about Apple worth criticism. I love their products but, like you, hate the manufactured obsolescence.

Guns are one of the last true things in the world that last. If I buy a Glock tomorrow, that $500 will follow me to the grave. :D

Yup guns do last, I've always enjoyed firearms, wasn't till last year that I started buying guns on a regular basis (prior just had rifle pistol and shotgun), last year I spent (including ammo) around 10k, at least in 10-20years I'll still be able to enjoy them.

Used to be into photography, still have the equip just don't use it.

I guess it could be worse, I could collect stamps.
