Also got this Husqvarna M38

Very close in condition to the first one, except the matching number for the bolt shroud and cocking piece are
EP'd. Anyone know about EP'd numbers on M38'S?

EP numbers, as unswedeish as it may be, are correct in 38s

I think I read that if the crown stamp is canted, like the one on
your cocking piece, that means it is a replacement part installed
at the armory. EP'd numbers on those parts is common practice.
Original parts would have had stamped numbers.
