Just picked it up today and also recieved my Flash supressor I had ordered from CCFA. And he was a pleasure to deal with I recieved it in 2 days was quick. I put in on today and looks pretty cool. Cant wait to try it tomorrow I will post a range report. I am a little excited. :D

Congrats...

...on your new acquisition. I felt the same way when I got my Tactical. Awesome weapon. Looking forward to your range report.

I envy you. All I bought today was a Filet of fish value meal and a sixpack. Looking forward to your report. I'd like to hear your opinion about the trigger. I had a 40 USP and I thought the trigger was stiffer than it ought to be. That was a few years ago and I've wondered if HK has improved it. I put a lot of rounds thru it and never had any problems.
Congrats.

I have an HK Tactical and the CCFA Flash Supressor. Its been 100% relaible and very accurate for me. I don't seem to get as good accuracy with the flash supressor attached and the gun feels nose heavy to me with it on. It also likes to come loose, even with the set screw torqued down. I took it off and replaced it with a CCFA thread protector. I will try it again though to see how I do. It does reduce felt recoil and muzzle flip, but the recoil is already very light without it, due to the spring set-up. Enjoy it!

PILOT- When did CCFA start putting a set screw on the flash suppressor ? Mine never had one, and it doesn't loosen up much at all..

Wishbone,

They started putting the set screw on a few months ago, I beleive. I spoke to Larry at CCFA and he indicated the reason for the set screw is that people were complaining that the flash hider's prongs were not lining up vertically and horizontally. This is just a cosmetic issue as it doesn't effect performance. I tigthen the flash hider as tight as it will go, then tighten the set screw. I don't care how the prongs line up. It still sometimes comes loose.
