FINALLY got my HK USP 9mm in from Bud's today. I ordered it about 10 days ago.

I previously had a fullsize 9mm USP about 10 years ago. Decided to get one again. This will be my 4th HK I currently have. I hope to go shoot it Fri evening or Saturday.

Came with factory night sights and 3 mags :)

Out of curiosity, what did you pay for it (if you don't mind telling)? I've seen some pretty good deals on HKs lately and I'm curious if any of them have applied to the USP series.

Congrats! I love the USP series. The USP 45 is my favorite 45 caliber gun overall. I do like the USP 9 as well - especially with the match trigger. I think I prefer the P30L over it, though. If the trigger was a little better in the P30 series it wouldn't even be a question.

Good for you, I've been looking at USP's on buds for a while now, just haven't been able to make myself pull the trigger on one yet though.

A great gun that will deliver lots of fun range time... and so competently. A world class pistol. Enjoy.

One of the best looking combat pistols of the Modern Times, methinks.

Exactly. The lines and proportions are nearly perfect if you ask me. Luckily the performance and reliability don't disappoint either.

I think the USPs look SO much better than the flavor of the week striker fired guns these days.

HK makes some of the coolest and best performing guns on the planet.

Enjoy! I had a USP .40 but let it go at some point. It was a great pistol, and I'll have to get another at some point.

OP, you'll love your new USP.

Over the past three years, I've owned ten HK's. four of which were USP models: USP9Expert, USP9T, USP45Expert and USP45T. The USP's all had the match triggers and were excellent guns. The Mark 23 and the p7's also had great triggers and are probably the best handguns HK ever made. Exceptions: the Elite and Match models; I haven't owned , or shot either model, but folks swear by them. I had a p30s and a p30sk. I loved the feel and fit of the those pistols, couldn't stand their triggers.

I wound up with more guns than I had time to shoot. When I was forced to quit shooting .45 ACP because the impact was damaging my arthritic hands; I re-thought my requirements for what I wanted in a gun. Decided I disliked the look of rail guns and that my main interest was target shooting. When I finished culling the herd, there were no more HK's. I miss the Mark 23, the p7 and the p7m8.

Sold several other brands as well. Now down to thirty.

If I ever get a chance I'll buy a Match model in both 9mm and .45 ACP. Shoot the .45 ACP as little as possible.

In their price range, I believe HK makes some of the finest handguns available.

Ok - today was my 2nd range trip with this gun... Very happy with the gun! I was kinda mixed about it on the 1st range trip, so that is why I took it back to the range today...

I went in the morning the first time. And, the rear sight was off. I am a pretty decent shot, and the gun was shooting 2 inches to the left at 7 yards. You could see that the rear sight wasn't centered.

Lucky for me that the gun range/gun store had a sight pusher. It actually took 3 tries to get it dead on. It's actually just off center the other way now. But, I compared it to my P2000 and P2000sk, and the rear sights on those are not exactly centered...

On the first range trip, having to play: "ok, is it sighted in right this time" a few times made it hard to develop a rhythm shooting. Plus, I have mild tremors in my left hand. And, I take asthma medicine that makes your hands shake a bit too.

I have noticed that if I go shooting after 2pm, I tend to have less hand shakes and shoot better. I went in the afternoon this time...

Today, I went in the afternoon and tried it again... VERY satisfied with the USP now. Much better day at the range... I shot at 7 and 15 yards. Also did some double taps as well. On those, the 2nd shot didn't drift too far from the first. Not bad for me. Much happier about the purchase now..
