Not With A Bang, But A Whimper
by Henry Bowman - Posted: 11.09.00

"It doesn't matter who gets the most votes in an election; it only matters who counts the votes." - Joseph Stalin

"There's really no point to voting. If it made any difference, it would probably be illegal." - H. L. Mencken

Many overseas military personnel didn't get their absentee ballots in time to have then counted in the election.

In California (and probably Texas and Florida) non-citizens are receiving "voter registration cards" enclosed with a letter from the state Democratic Party and signed by Bill Clinton, advising that all the recipient needs to do is sign the card and take it to their "polling place" to be allowed to vote. (The letter doesn't explain how they can have a polling place since they never registered to vote in the first place.)

Both of these stories are from recent editions of WorldNetDaily; does anybody reading this seriously doubt the veracity of what is being said?

* * *

I don't have a lot to say today, mostly because the majority of my thoughts must remain unspoken if I and the fine folks who are behind SierraTimes are to remain at liberty. One thought that does need articulating is this; if this election, clearly the most important one in living memory for reasons most of us understand, is allowed to be stolen through vote fraud or any other means of illegality, then this nation is lost.

In the parade of nations through History, the US will simply be the most recent "poor player, who struts and frets his hour upon the stage, and then is heard no more." And once again the Greeks will have been proven right in maintaining that the life of a democracy is 250 years. (They were pretty accurate in their guesstimate, those old Greeks; we've still got twenty-six years to go. As far as the the One-worlders are concerned, that's just about all they'll need. One more generation of dumbed-down, sheepified "citizens" and the conversion to "subjects" will be complete.)

These are truly once again the times that try mens' souls. If these outrages prove out, and we allow them to go unchallenged and unrectified, then we will deserve whatever comes after. I know what my course will be; it does not involve submission, or going gently into that good night. It does, however, involve a going, and a maximum amount of taking others with me.
