This is my Raging Judge Magnum Chambered in 45colt .410 shot shell and 454 casull. It has a customized 8 1/3 inch Raging bull scope mount which I milled myself Link to mounting the mount

454 casull
FA and Ruger eat your heart out
Just kidding, but this is beautiful for me everyone hates, on Taurus. This was my first time shooting with the scope. I tried a few different hand-loads. I shot 5 rounds 2 went in the same hole in the middle.
Uusing Hodgdon 800-x hi-skor. This was on a hornady 240g xtp mag
with 17.5 grains. estimated speed about 1600 FPS based on a max load of 20 grains at 1800 FPS.

target out 25 yards (not far) but hey im glad the scope works as intended
:)
Next week ill give you a range report out to 50 yards

curious if you just couldn't use a "raging" scope mount, or does the judge do something different ???

( I used a Taurus Raging Hornet I had for years, as the base for a custom fast twist 22 Hornet revolver ) my raging hornet in stock form had a factory mount, that went into the vent rib on the barrel...

BTW... nice work too

they don't make a Scope mount for the Raging Judge Magnum. so I had to customize a Raging Bull mount. Raging Judge and Raging Bull are 2 different guns alot of people still don't even know about the Raging Judge Magnum

What a beast!

I bet it's good for zombie and velocoraptor hunting!

JK, but nice gun! I've been in the market for a Taurus M44 .44 magnum revolver for a long time now. I love the Raging Bull in .44 as well!

Nice job on the mount. Where did you get the recipe for your loads? Outta six published references I can't find anything for Hi-Skor 800-X and .454 Casull. It is an IMR powder tho, distributed by Hodgdon.

Hodgdon bought the company IMR back in 2003 I believe, and while Hodgdon now distributes the complete line of IMR powders, they are still branded as IMR. I prefer the other powder shown in your pic, IMR4227, as it fills the case, and gives me great accuracy. The recipes shown in your manual may be outdated tho, as the new IMR 4227 is the old H4227 rebranded.

OK, call me a cynic, but I couldn't help but to form a vision with the bullet going one way and you going the other. I'm thinking Wylie Coyote.....

Whenever I see Raging Judge Magnums and Raging Judge 28's, I think of the guy's gun in the movie "Who framed Roger Rabbit". Those things are crazy huge!

by the way, welcome to the forum. Good shooting.

I'm not a Taurus fan, but you may sway me with groups like that.
