Hello all.
I've been reading these forums for some time and finally registered. It's great to see so many fans of the wheelgun around. Using the military range on post, I usually take a lot of funny looks from the Glock/1911 guys when I pull out the old M&P with the five inch barrel. Then again, the Model 29 .44 Mag with the 8 3/8" barrel usually shuts them up quick. Especially when I out shoot them :) Anyway, just a note to say hello and let y'all know I'm wandering around.

Welcome aboard!

Revolvers just naturally ooze out class that a Glock could only dream about. It's funny how someone can give you a wierd look when their gun is made out of Legos :D jk I wouldnt trade my S&W for anything, and I hope to get a few more eventually. Posting is def more fun than lurking, have fun.

Randy

I "only" have 5 S&W M&Ps. 38 S&W, 38 Special and 357 Magnum. I want a M&P 44 someday. Nothing wrong with quality old world craftsmanship.

Hey BigG

Not intending to insult the auto guys at all, just stating my preferences. I only dog on the Glock fellow because Ft. Lewis has a lot of "Operators" who think that copious amounts of ammo and expensive gear can make up for lack of marksmanship skill and practical abilities.Seems that civilians are somewhat more sensible in that area. So does the G stand for Glock? Just curious. Anything not Beretta is okay by me :)

38 - reread BigG. -
(George's putting a clever spin on things)
(G= Glock LOL!!!)<-- The thought is kind like the M in Madonna standing for Morals ;)

Ditto the Welcome.

IMNSHO, nothing says "America at Peace" like a revolver.

Hi 38Splfan, I was trying to beat Tamara (a big wheelgun fan) to put the first smart remark on your thread. :p

Pistol = handgun

Integral magazine and simultaneous ejection = cylinder

I love S&Ws also! :)

That's good stuff.

Gonna have to remember just how wiley this bunch of fellows can be :)
Thanks for all the welcome and good humor.
