Just about every gun I own was bought for and has a specific purpose. This one is the last shotgun I plan on buying for a long time.
I bought it for all aspects of bird hunting in our area. I hunt dove usually 25-40 days per year, and a friend of mine wants me to get into duck and goose hunting this year.
With my old J.C. Higgins Model 20, it was time to retire it to an extra dove shotgun for family members that go with me and don't have their own. I've used it for a long time, wife bought it for me for a 1st anniversary present at a pawn shop for 80 dollars. It's only capable of 2 3/4" shells and I know that I can purchase 2 3/4" steel shot, but I don't really want to put anything like that through the Model 20.
So I found this one on another forum, and picked it up. Camo stocks, matte oversized barrel, ported about 4 inches back with 3 chokes. Picked it up for $250, it made it's debut yesterday in the field.
