Range? What range? You must mean "swamp"?:D

There are probably nice ranges around there, but I always just went out the the wilderness with some local buddies of mine.
 
Did someone say swamp? "The Honey Island Shooting Range is a public range [...] physically located [...] in the Honey Island Swamp."

Lived there myself. So long ago I think it was called "Little Farms." We just used to go behind the levee and shoot in those days.
 
Honey Island range

Welcome to southeast LA. You live 30-40 minutes from Honey Island shooting range. They operate Friday - Sunday. Good range officers running a safe operation. Pistol, rifle and shotgun sections offer opportunities to shoot everything from single shot .22 rimfiles to honest-to-goodness machine guns. Check the site at http://www.honeyisland.org/. Have fun.

Make sure all firearms, including any concealed carry firearm, are unloaded - no round in chamber and no magazine in firearm - before entering Honey Island. Honey Island range is located in a wildlife management area and travel with loaded firearms is not permitted.
