new gun

I would like to get a shotgun and the two i were looking at was the remington sporting 12 and the bennelli m2 field. I was think of trying trap shooting and maybe later on some bird hunting . Any advice on these two guns would be great.
 
If that Sporting 12 is the Remington 1100, that's a real nice gun. I bought one for Dad last year and it is very nice.
No experience with the Italian thunder-stick.

Both are good guns. The Remington is a clay gun with a 2 3/4" only chamber and it's gas operated. The Benelli has a 3" chamber and is recoil operated.

I would go with the one that fits best. But I would look towards the 3" chamber if I was going to hunt large birds like turkey or geese.
