Is there any gun I can buy new in the box that is quailty $450 See in my area out side of chicago gun prices are crazy a new glock 19 is 650 without tax. A taurus PT145 is 500. A keltec P11 is 400 but damn. The prices are crazy and when I ask both of the dealers in my area if I could buy online at gunbroker they said they would not accept an gun from another state or even a dealer in my area I don't know what to due need help...

Go to Auctionarms.com and click on the "Find an FFL/Gunsmith" link. Doing a quick search on Illinois, I found one that is pretty close to Chicago (maybe more, but I'm not familiar with surrounding areas):

Roy Vaughn
421 Cherry Lane
Glenview, IL 60025
FFL Transfer Fee: $25.00
847-998-4537

So, talk to this guy (or another FFL), and order off gunbroker as you please.

If your local dealers aren't helpful try checking Pawn Shops that deal in guns. They also have an FFL and many will do a transaction for you.

Check out CZ's in your area, bet you'll be surprised and pleased. Look for a CZ 75B in 9mm or a CZ 97B in .45. Both are available even here in California for under $500.

Try Mega Sports in Plainfield, IL. Their prices for guns are as low as the internet dealers by the time you factor in freight and FFL transfer fees.

They are 30-40 minutes from downtown Chicago on Rte US 30 a mile west of Interstate 55 (Stevenson expressway).

I have seen the CZ's mentioned and they seem to be a good deal if you want a 9MM. They even make a true(er) HiPower clone in a good single action ( my local shop quoted me $417)

You could also go with the new Rock Island Armory 1911's and be out the door at well under $400.

My new Champion sized RIA is a sweet little pistol, so far 100% reliable with every load and mag brand I have tried...and it cost me $349.00.

pawnshops in illinois don't deal with guns

You are kidding me right? Is it a State law that Pawn Shops cannot have an FFL in all of Illinois and all firearms transactions must go through "dealers"? Sounds like California.

Try a Baby Eagle. My buddy bought one new in box with 1 15 round mag for $400 in NJ at one of our m0re expensive gun shops. The one he bought was made by IMI and stamped with their logo and the Magnum Research logo. The gun is really reliable and accurate. Extra mags (im not sure what brand ) can be gotten From CDN for around $20.00. There r some post on this site that critique the baby eagle ( most positive) so u might want to do some research and see if this gun is for u.

good luck on your search
