New gun on the way (Smokin' hot deal alert!!)

I've been looking for a smaller carry piece for a while. I wanted something that could be used for pocket carry, but would also be large enough to shoot decently (I have rather meaty hands). I have toyed with many variations of single stack 9mms and .380s, little snub .38s, and a few other options. There are many that are good choices.

I came across a sale the other day, and the rest is history! Guns Midwest has Kahr CT380s on clearance for $196!! It was in the top 3 of my list any way, but that price bumped it to the top. With shipping and my FFL's fee, it will total out to $230. That's darn near Hi-Point prices (ok, that's a bit exaggerated, but it's certainly in the range of Taurus prices).

I have seen all of the stuff about Kahrs requiring a break in and being finicky about certain brands of ammo, but I just couldn't say no to that price.

Review and pics to come once it arrives.

Enjoy, my little P380 is a fine pocket pistol. I don't shoot it as much now that I live where they don't allow CCW. When I did, it seemed to like the Hornady XTP best.

Kahr makes a fine firearm. My PM9 has thousands of rounds through it and it gets a lot of carry time. Drop over to the Kahr forum and introduce yourself. Lots of friendly, helpful people with wealth of knowledge over there.

Congrats on the nice find. I carried a PM9 for a few years. These short guns require stiff springs since the overall slide travel is very short. Be sure to clean it really well, break it in with at least 200 rounds, and try a few mags of carry ammo before you start carrying it. Mine has been very reliable, but I switched to the Glock 43 due to the better trigger. Kahr's pull is smooth, but it is long. The reset is almost as long as the trigger pull.

Thought the $280 I paid for mine over a year ago was a great price! lol

Enjoy yours - they are excellent little pistols. I carry mine with Hornady Critical Defense ammo.

Thanks for the suggestions on carry ammo. Seems like critical defense is the consensus, which works for me - it's what I carry in my 9mm. The part where I'm running into trouble is a holster. I'm finding plenty of stuff for the P380 and CW380, but not a lot for the CT380. Are the trigger guard areas on the two similar enough that an open muzzle leather holster for the P380 or CW380 would fit my CT380? If so, there's a couple of leather OWB options that could work nicely. I'll probably get a Desantis Nemesis for pocket carry, as well.
