New Gun Legislation ?

As we all know now that Wednesday April 29th our new
Attorney General had a new "2009 Assault Weapons Ban",
or new anti-gun legislation on the Presidents desk to sign, however Nancy P. stopped the signing that day. Does anyone know what that ban included? Also, rumor has it, it will be proposed again Friday, March 13th. Anyone out there have any more information?

What are you talking about? The AG can't write legislation and Pelosi can't stop the POTUS from signing it once it gets to him.

Yes - there is a sticky thread here in the Law and Civil Rights forum that lists real bills proposed in Congress (not rumors) and has links so that you can read the actual bill text for yourself and draw your own conclusions.

There was no legislation only a statement from the AG and it appears he spoke out of turn.

Even supposing it could happen that way, I don't know how a bill could be presented on April 29th, but derailed on March 13th ... Of the same year!
