Hello, everyone. I am a new member of the board although I have visited on many occasions. I enjoy the site very much and although my 1911 is my favorite handgun I appreciate the existence of the revolver forum.
I just purchased a brand new GP-100 -- 4" blued with full underlug and adjustable sights. I had a 6" stainless model previously, but sold it as I did not care for the longer barrel.
I had hoped to find a fixed-sight model in stock, but they were currently unavailable so I decided to check out one of the guns they had. I'm glad I did! I found out the SA/DA trigger pull on this gun is smooth as silk -- much better than on the 6" gun I had. I dare say (getting ready to duck) that it is even better than my 586. I know the quality of new Rugers has come into question, but this gun is very nice. Once I felt the smooth DA trigger pull, I decided not to wait for a fixed-sight model. Better not to pass up a gun I really like, I figure. I can't wait to put some rounds down range with this baby.
I think one of my Taurus 65s will be up for sale soon...
