New Glock 19 mag problem

Hi. I'm a recent newbie with my wife's new Glock 19. I can't seem to get the last round (#10) in the 10 rd. mags. I've previously owned 2 Sigs (2340 and 232) and they didn't have this problem. Any suggestions? Thanks!

All new mags are likely to be stiff, so expect it to be very difficult at first. Try loading them up and leaving(in a safe place) the rounds in the magazine in order to compress the spring and break it in.

Enjoy~

Trey, try the Austrian Stomp. Once you have the first nine rounds in the magazine, with your thumb over the top round, smack the base of the magazine against a firm surface and then try inserting the tenth round. It may require two or three firm raps to get that last round in, but it works.

try using the plastic loader that came with your glock.
the same thing happened with mine. couldn't get the 10th round in. i didn't bother to use the loader, just used 9 rounds for awhile & it loosened up before long & i could get 10 rounds in.

I have a one month old 19, my first Glock, and had the same problem. I used the plastic loader, and though I have only 200 rounds through the gun, noticed some improvement the more I used the magazines so am hopeful that it will continue to get better.

Thanks guys! I'll try those out next time on the range. I appreciate your help.

PS I just took the Firearm Academy of Seattle (FAS) defensive handgun class. It was well worth it. I'd highly recommend it.
