LOL ok so it is a Marlin 81TS .22 bolt action, tube fed rifle. But I just couldn't resist. Ok on to my question. What is Marlins Stance on all the BS floating around from the goverment. Anyone know. Are they in any of the lawsuits. Have they put out a press releas on thier stance.

I think Marlin's laying low for the time being, and I can't truely blame them very much. They're pretty much under no real scrutiny themselves, as they make what is perceived by all but the most rabid shirtfront drooling gun antis as innocuous "sporting weapons." Lotsa .22 repeaters ("Plinkers and squirrel guns") and lever-action center-fires ("Deer-rifles") I mean, who's gonna get real skeered about a m 336? ;) Now, the fact that it's every bit as effective as an SKS is lost on those folks, but let's let that just be our little secret...!

(And don't ANYBODY whisper in Sarah B.'s, Chuck Schumer's, or Diane Feinstein's collective ears about the Guide Gun in .45-70, .444, or .450 Marlin! The'd have a fit!)

L.P.

I recall, as of several years ago, that Marlin's stance was that they did not target even a police audience. (With such possibly appropriate platforms as their Camp Carbines.) That kinda turned me off...though I can't wait for my 1895G!

I note that Marlin recently dropped the Camp Carbines from their product line. Anyone know why?
