New FN High Power/Hi Power Information Sought

Anybody have any updates on FN's latest rendition of the P-35 pistol? From what I've heard it is an all steel variant weighing over 40 ounces and having a SIG-like lockup, different magazines and changed controls. I might be more interested if it had a retail cost closer to Springfield's version ($699.99). From what I've learned, FN's latest entrant will be priced close to $1,300.00.

Too bad that FN priced it at $1,269 for Black and FDE, and at $1,369 for SS. The SA-35 at $699 is a big bargain by comparison.
 
American Rifle Man has several articles on it. They’re on line.

Ambi controls (fatter) , take down lever and 40+ oz. Seems I may pass

Because it’s THEIR pistol. They DID introduce it on 1935... it’s an evolution of the original.

FN is calling it the HIGH Power because it is not a Hi Power.
While the Hi Power was introduced in 1935.....this aint it.
This new HIGH Power is a completely different pistol.

Evolution, no. That was FN's other failed Hi Power upgrades that died on the vine.
