Picked up some of the new stuff. At ten yds, would you believe 1 1/8 inches? At 15 yds, just under 3", and at 30 yds 4 1/2 inches! From a CYLINDER bore. I'll test some more when I get my new Scattergun Tech. Combat shotgun. I'm also interested to know how the, also new, LE 133 8 pellet Tactical load will pattern.
The new Federal LE 132, LR, 00 Tactical has a new smoother case with lower brass, inside are 9 copper plated 00 buck, each weighing 50 grains. These are contained in Federals Flitecontrol wad, which is the secret to the tight patterns. Same wad used in their Turkey loads. At 40 yds., one flyer opened up the pattern size to 18" from 12! I'm now having to rethink getting a choked barrel, else I'd have to put a "buckshot scope" on the thing. Something tells me we're entering a new domain where Tactical buckshot loads are concerned.
