New England Custom Gun Ruger Peep Site

New England Custom Gun makes a very nice peep site that fits the scope ring mounts that are found on Ruger centerfire rifles. They only advertise it for the model 77 and 1.

I would like to put one on my Mini-14 ranch rifle but am unsure about whether it will work with the front blade or not. Has anybody done this with this particular sight?

Also does anyone have this sight mounted to any Ruger rifle. I would be interested in hearing your comments also.

I have one on a Ruger m77 mkII, 30-06. Well built, all blued steel receiver sight. Holds zero if you are carefull when you remove. replace it. I had to get a taller front sight blade, also from NECG.

I had the same idea, tried to put it on my mini-14 ranch. Too high, by about .3", to use with the stock front blade.

With the flimsy mini-14r iron sight you would think there would be a market for a quality all steel receiver sight. IIRC brownell's has williams, lyman and ashley rear sights for the mini-14R.
