I'll keep my hammered P09. I love the DA/SA capability.
I have a CZ P09 and like it a lot, along with a Sphinx SDP, and a Gray Guns-tuned SIG P228. All of them are great hammer-fired DA/SA guns.
That said, I've never cared for DA/SA guns that force you to cope with two different trigger pulls -- but that is required for two of the guns listed above. The P09, however, gives me option of starting from cocked & locked if I want to. (I bought my P09 used, and it came without the decocker parts; I didn't care.)

I really don't think a striker fired handgun is very safe when left out as a nightstand gun for one thing.
If you keep your finger off the trigger, the action type shouldn't make that much of a difference. If your finger is on the trigger and you're ready to press it, the action type shouldn't make that much of a difference, either.
A striker-fired gun is NOT intrinsically less safe than a hammer-fired gun. In fact, some striker-fired guns are very similar to hammer-fired DA/SA gun in terms of function and safety, and one or two of those striker-fired guns have true second-strike capability and frame-mounted safeties!
Other striker-fired guns can be purchased with frame-mounted safeties. My striker-fired Ruger SR-9c, for example, has a good factory trigger AND a frame-mounted safety. That safety can be ignored (i.e., it's not obtrusive) but I can use it if I want to.

If I had a dime for every company that has recently jumped on the striker bandwagon, I'd be a millionaire.
I'd be surprised if you'd even get as much as $20, as there just aren't that many gun makers out there!!
