Just bought the gun this afternoon. I would be interested in your opinions and comments.

Haven't shot it yet but fit and finish are very very good. It is solid with no rattles etc. I think I got a good gun. Grip feel is good and it takes 15 round Pre-ban mags!!! Trigger pull feel good as well.

Please let me know your thoughts. Thinking about getting into IDPA that's the reason I told myself I needed another gun:D

What am I saying I don't need no stinking excuse to buy a gun!!

Thanks,
JD

I don't compete but I do have a couple of CZ 85 Combats and they have both been absolutely 100% realiable. Extremely accurate also.

I bought a bunch of pre-ban new factory mags for $35 each and they have worked just great also.

I just haven't had any problems with these guns and in fact they have functioned better than some guns that have cost 3 times as much.

Every time I think about selling my CZs (just cause I "supposedly" have too many guns) I take one to the range and after shooting it I just shake my head and think "are ya crazy"???? These are keepers!!

You made a fine, fine decision. SA is the way to go. I really wanted the 75B Compact, which isn't available in SA. Had to have it anyway.

I have an SA. The hammer has been reduced in size, and the beavertail is more upswept so you can get a higher grip. There is extra steel left at the end of the slide and the dustcover. With a high cap, and the fast trigger reset on a CZ, you can almost empty the gun like a machine gun.

I love this pistol.

The full slide profile looks very nice and add some weight upfront. It has ambi safety without the ambi slide release (I don't want that 'feature' anyway). The trigger is adjustable for overtravel and mine doesn't need any adjustment.

There is some takeup but for a $400 gun its awesome. Oh yah its one of the few models that comes which allows the mags to drop free without modification.

Its a great gun at an great price.

Mine is just the regular 75B, not the SA, but if you've seen my posts around here I'm sure you already know I love my gun.

Mine feels great in my hand, is very accurate, has a great DA and SA trigger (your trigger is supposed to be even better), is very reliable, I have full confidence in its durability (they were designed for military use) and it is inexpensive. If you want high-caps you can get them direct from the factory for $48 off the CZ website, or for less if you look around (I think someone on the CZ forum has them for less).

You got yourself a great gun there. There is only one problem to look out for. Watch yourself very carefully because soon you will be exibiting symptoms of the disease that all CZ owners seem to get. Very soon you will have an uncontrollable urge to go out and buy more CZs. :D
