Hi folks!

I recently purchased the Crimson Trace Lightguard LED gun light for my Home Defense weapon, the Springfield XD(M) .40 caliber.

I really like the design of this light, it's rated at 100 lumens, throws a nice smooth circle of light, and the actuator falls naturally under your grip. Tighten your grip and the light turn on, loosen your grip slightly an it tuns off. No fumbling for a switch up ahead of your trigger guard, just squeeze and the light comes on!

And it looks like part of the gun. I bet if I showed this to a non-gun person, they wouldn't even realize the light is there, or they would think it was part of the gun "from the get go"! :)

I played with this set-up last night, and it seems very effective. Perfectly centered, plenty bright for it's purpose, and it couldn't be any easier to use.

Not cheap, I paid $129, but it's easy to install, and it takes a fairly standard CR2 battery (rated for 2 hours). But the main thing is how easy it is to use, squeeze and it comes on, relax and it turns off!

I like it!

Very nice I like it a lot, I like that it's so easy to turn on and off and you please and it does fit the gun VERY nicely!

Very nice

How well does it light up a room or a hallway? The light looks a bit small, that's why I ask. However, I like small when its effective.

What kind of batteries does it use? I wonder if it will fit the XDm compact? Looks like it would

When I get my XDm, I'll have to get one of these

Edit: Sorry, I see that you already said it takes a CR2 battery

Question: can you show us a front view? Or at least an angle, that shows what the front of the light looks like?

Looks good. Guess i have to go to Sportsman's Warehouse tomorrow and see if they have them. Where did you get yours?
