New Compact Glock?

BIGR

I have been hearing alot of talk lately about a new compact glock that is due out any day now.It is supposed to be smaller than the model 27.I was told that glock had some production problems with the sites and had to back up and correct the problem. Is there any truth to this rumor and what model no. and what calibers would this gun be available in.

The G36 is the same size, only thinner, as the G30, so it is actually bigger than the G27. Compare a 3.8" barrel to a 3.5" barrel.

Yeah, what they said. :)

Actually, I own one. It's very nice. 100% reliable with several hundred bullets, including 200gr Hornady XTP +P and 230gr Supreme SXT. A very handy little gun. The gun itself is inherently pretty damn accurate, but it's a little harder to shoot well than other Glocks IMO...though I can't quite put my finger on why.

If you gotta have a .45 and want the most concealable one that can be shot well, the 36 is probably about as good as it will get until you have $2,000 to spend on a Wilson Combat Sentinel Ultra Compact.

If you are talking about the G36, it seems to me it is closer to the G19 in size, only thinner in cross section and not quite as tall. It holds 6 in the mag and 1 up the spout. Very accurate and surprisingly little recoil for a pistol its size and weight. I did have some problems with excess polymer on the magazines causing feeding problems, but since resolving that it has been 100% reliable.

no offence to anyone i like glock i own a 19 and a 30, but why would you want a 36 that only holds 6 rounds of 45? the 45 round is good and all, but why not get a revolver with a 357mag or 44? I have not seen the glock yet inperson so i wont say anymore. knowing me i will probley buy it :)

Why a G36? Well, because you want to shoot a .45 ACP and the double stack versions are to large for most people. I would like to see a 7 or 8 round version (ie: full grip length).
