Made an even swap for this mint Colt Frontier .22. Traded a used 9mm pistol that sat in the safe. Its a Nevada Centennial edition, but I am not a collector, its going to make a fine little shooter.

I had one of the original two-tone Frontier Scouts when they first were introduced. That was a dandy little squirrel gun, maybe the only gun I regret every trading off.

A problem with the earlier guns was that the cylinder bolt had a single bend, leaving the "ball" with two sides which soon bent and the gun went out of time. A later version had a long piece bent up and over to close the gap, which was better, but the problem was not solved until Colt went to a solid bolt like the SAA. Otherwise, they have been pretty good guns.
