New Colt Cobra?

Not exactly...it's a Colt SF-VI from the mid-90s. But apart from the trigger guard contour and the front sight, it looks very similar to the new Cobra.

The SF-VI has the lightest double-action pull of any revolver I've owned. I haven't seen or handled a new Cobra yet, and I'm curious to see how the two compare both in appearance and on target. Maybe someone at the gun club will turn up with a new Cobra one of these days...

My python has the lightest and smoothest trigger pull I have experienced.

The python (yes.. it speaks to me sometimes) wants a little brother with a similar-feeling action. Strangely, though, the python is aware of my financial restrictions and has not asked for a big brother anaconda.

those six shot D frames were nice. not much bigger than a J frame but noticeably smaller than a K frame.

I'm a Smith guy, never had a Colt. I have nothing against them, just never had one. I could see that in my collection, might have to start searching.
