New Chamber Reamer Holder Tryouts. . .SUCCESS

Spent all weekend making this bugger.

Heat treated Chromoly base, case hardened/ground 8620 ring, and a tough as nails 60 Rockwell ground center.

Did the first barrel with it this afternoon. Total indicated chamber runout between .00015" and .0002" according to my Brown/Sharp indicator. Considering that I've seen factory gun chambers runout close to .005" I'm feeling pretty good about it working and lasting.

Woo Hoo!!

Bad!

Good!

Nice job LongRifles! I'm a manufacturing guy and I always enjoy seeing people build their own stuff, especially when it's better than what they could buy.

Keep 'em comin'.

The outer ring is over 3" so it's roughly around 2.0" on the inside. Most barrels top out at 1.25" so it's plenty oversize.

Thanks for the kind words.
