New Cabelas 1860 army civilian

As I posted last week, I ordered my first BP revolver, and it arrived today.

I am very pleased with it. I have heard stories about wedges that can't be gotten out and pistols saturated with oil, but no problems like that.

Wedge came right out and the pistol came apart in seconds. I'm not an expert, but timing of the cylinder seems good. There was a little oil on it, but nothing too hard to clean up.

Got to get the rest of the supplies now.

"Got to get the rest of the supplies now."

Now you done it! It'll never end! Here's an incomplete list (from memory):

nipple wrench(es)

nipple pick(s)

cleaning kit (rod, swabs, patches, solvent, Q-tips, brass fouling scrapers (old house keys, flattened cartridge cases, etc.)

powder flask(s)+several spouts (20, 25, 30gr [I also have 23 & 27gr])

shooting box for the gear

holster & belt

oil, grease, various factory & home made lubes

canned air to blow solvent out nipples & chambers

capper(s)

Round ball mold in .454 (Lee double cav. best bargain)

There's more but I haven't got all night......
