building up a 1911 slide is nice and clean Wilson drop in fits nicely as well pretty much dropped right in without issues having one issue tho
the problem is when i throw the barrel in and put the slide on it goes into battery and i have about a 2 to 2 mm overhang on the slide on the back side by the hammer and it looks like CRAP. what is the best approach to getting the slide flush with the frame on the back end?
just looking for a little direction thanks!

If the barrel is "drop-in", with nominal hood length and pre-cut lower lugs, I wouldn't mess with either solely to get the slide and frame to cosmetically match at the rear.
The slide and barrel are locked fully in battery?
Does the thumb safety lock into the slide properly?
If you install the extractor in the slide, is it flush, or is it sunken below the surface?
It could be the slide is just long, and you need to grind off the excess so the slide/frame/extractor/ejector match.
