New Buckmark

I've wanted a Browning .22 pistol for years and finally found a nice Buckmark 5.5 Target model. Any tips on this gun? How about ammo preferance? Thanks, Tim

Mine is sensitive to dirt and grime, but will feed just about anything.

You might want to clean yours with lighter fluid (followed by a normal cleaning, of course) to get rid of the residual sticky stuff.

Very accurate little toy. Enjoy it.

Just got Standard 5.5" Buckmark (decent deal, $220+$20 for the second magazine) and hope to take it shooting tomorrow. Took my parents shooting today and was using their revolvers (but mostly watching after them). Range reports forthcoming...

I`ve only got about 300rds. through my new Buckmark Micro Plus but it`s been a gem so far. I was shooting it and a Ruger 22/45 yesterday, The Ruger was nice but I`m glad I went for the Buckmark,it fits me like a glove. I haven`t gotten around to trying different types of ammo yet but it shoots amazingly well with cheap CCI Blazers. I can`t wait to try some Greentag and Eley Tenex. :) Marcus

the best all around 22lr i have found is the remington golden bullets, a box of 550 is about 9 bucks. its pretty accurate and feeds better than anything else except the more expensive ammo.

I have a Buckmark Plus and have put about 2500 rounds thru it so far. Just pure fun and amazing accuracy. My son in law has a ruger 22/45 which I have shot quite a bit and the Browning is definitely more accurate and to me much better in the handling dept.
I just did accuracy testing yesterday with a soft bench rest: Thunderbolt and Federal 550 were extremely accurate. Winchester Xpert 22 was a close third but I had FTF problems (so did the Ruger). Wildcat was scattering all over the place and Blazer was too but not quite as bad. Blazer is good for plinking but the groups are a good inch or more larger that T-Bolt.
I have four pistols and the Browning is hands down my favorite!
