New BREN TEN update???

A while back, I heard that somebody from TRITON cartridges was trying to build a new 10mm pistol using BREN TEN design.

Anybody know if this was true or if it is moving ahead?

I sure hope they pretty it up a bit, if they indeed do... it was as aesthetically pleasing as a pile of dog doo IMHO.

I think several years ago another company, Peregrine Arms, attempted to revive the Bren Ten. I saw some pictures and theirs looked almost exactly like the original. The only unesthetic areas of the Bren, in my opinion, were the rear sight and that funky hump in the slide and the barrel bushing. Otherwise, I found it rather nice looking.

EAA is marketing their Witness in 10mm. Given that the original Bren 10m was based on the same CZ design as the Witness, you might be able to slake your desire for a shooter by buying one of the Witness 10mms.

If EAA would put that hump in the back of their slide then some already available aftermarket sights might actually work on the thing and I might buy one. EAAs factory sights are it's biggest weakness to me.

I've seen some folks at the CZ forum complain about EAA's customer service.

One guy had a lemon, which they fixed, but added parts and sights he didn't want w/o asking, as "upgrades".

They gave him a new slide when he asked, but they destroyed it through gorilla gunsmithing.

He bitched, quite politely, I may add, and the president of EAA, Keith B.???, told him they would buy it back, that he was a terrible customer and that he never buy a Tanfoglio product again.

I own a Glock 20 already, so I'm not going to buy a lemon from a company w/ a bad attitude just to have another 10mm.

Thanks anyway, though.

Weakest Link...

IMHO, the weakest link for Tanfoglio pistols in the USA is what, at times, is attempted to be passed off as customer service by the importer/distributor, EAA.
