New Bersa

Yesterday I was able to trade my S&W 909 on a Bersa Series 95 and also walk away with $75 cash, gun was $189 (NIB) I got $270 for the S&W. Question is can the Bersa's use Walther PPK mags or do they have to Bersa design? Also what is a decent factory defense load in .380? I know its the minimal caliber, but I like the feel of this gun.

Dear Rob96
I own both the Bersa 95 and a model 86 which has 13 shot clips. The 95s butt is smaller and easier to carry. The 86 is thicker due to stacking clips. I really like the 95 and use if for ccw. It is very accurate for a small gun, too. I use Speer GoldDot 90 Grain GDHP ammo for carry. I usually shoot Magtech 95 grain fmc for practice. I don't know if Walther clips will fit, however. I'll be interested in this infor myself.

Don't know if the PPK mags will fit. But I have a Bersa 383A and I really like it. I use for a carry gun. I use Gold Dots or Hydra shoks in it. Very reliable and accurate and have had no problems with it.
Hope this helps :)

Happy Shooting :)

Well, I just got back from the range and was quite pleased with the Bersa's performance. I used Federal American Eagle, CCI Blazer and Winchester SXT ammo. All of it performed flawlessly, and the accuracy was quite amazing. Firing was done at 7 yds. on a B-27 target. X-ring was shot out and the farthest the bullets strayed was the 9 ring. Can't ask more of this cartridge and firing platform.
