That slide is way over the top to me, I don't care much for it.

I like Berettas but I must agree that when I first saw photos of the APX my first thought was that the slide was frighteningly ugly.

I will say, however, that I have yet to see a polymer-frame, striker-fired pistol that I considered to be good-looking, and some pistols look better in the flesh than they do in photos.

Weird! I personally don't care about front-cocking serrations or in this case the front-cocking ribs. Not fo' me.

I like it. The over the top look is what draws me it. The big serrations on the slide may solve the problem of a solid grip when racking the slide that some pistols have.

I will wait for the .45 acp version before taking a serious look though.

Looks like a nice pistol but I would be more interested in what the 15 round compact version looks like and how tall it is. If it is Glock 19 height that could be really sweet.

One ugly slide - BUT - highly functional. 5 stars for function. 2 stars for aesthetics

Their attempt to keep the US Army's sidearm contract which SIG recently won.

While I am not a fan of the "look" of the slide, keep in mind they made this to be a military tool and not to win any beauty contests.
