New Beretta Border Marshal

Hey guys,
Just bought a new Border Marshal for the little lady. (her choice)
Anyone know how to lube this? I heard Berettas are oil hogs, but no details.
Also, can I swap out the 4.5' barrel for a 5"? that would be really cool!

Be advised: oil the all surfaces of the locking block, oil all surfaces that the locking block interfaces with, oil all points where the slide mates with the frame, oil the point where the trigger bar mated with the frame and oil the the area where the takedown lever mates with the frame. Also keep the barrel lubed paying attention to the area where the the front sight rests.

Try Militec-1 as the lube for your Beretta, Militec works very well. Also the barrel is actually 4.7" on the Border Marshall and Elite/Elite II, I don't see any practical advantage replacing your barrel with 5" barrel.

Not practical, looks!
I like the way Berretas look with the 1/2" of exposed barrel.
