New Bearcat Question ?

Just bought a new ruger bearcat SS .22lr and took it to the range today. After 50 or so rounds the ejector seems to get harder to push by 100 rounds the ejector would not move is this normal ? Took it home and gave it a good cleaning now the ejector moves ok. I thought since the ejector was made of aluminum the heat may have played a part in the problem. I expected to shoot several hundred rounds without any problems. Has anyone else experienced this problem ? :D

I have two old bearcats and have never had ejector issues..

you might want to take it apart a bit and give it a good cleaning.
If that doesn't do it i would seek a professional!

I have one that I bought new in 1965 made of steel (not investment casting) that has never had any problems at all. Quantrill

I too own a new Bearcat (purchased within the last 6 months or so) and have yet to experience the problems you are having. You may have just stumbled upon a "lemon."

I have a Single Six and the first day I had it, the ejector wouldn't move at all. I squirted some RemOil in the hole where the rod is and then pushed it out multiple times. Also, when you clean the gun, get a swab and saturate it in oil, then get the ejector rod and push it in and out while letting it glide across the oil swab. This will make it fine. It is not a lemon; just needs a little cleaning.
