sorry if this has already been covered on this forum, but I couldn't resist drawing your attention on this new German / Austrian piece (seemingly produced by a German, but marketed by an Austrian company...).

Since there is such a small range of choices, we obviously and desperately need another 9mm striker-fired polymer pistol...

HERE is the link, note the funny southern German accent in the video :D

Another interesting pistol from Wilhelm Bubits. As you say, it looks similar to the Caracal. Thank you for the information.

So it is Herr Bubits that we owe for most of the guns coming out of Europe now looking alike?

The "non-attached buttstock" is not new; I saw them advertised in the 1970s to evade the NFA restrictions on stocked pistols.

Dale, you overlooked either Glock or Steyr. They are both in Austria.

I found a .pdf file which has some technical details. Seems there is a manual safety of some unusual shape. I can't see how it is operated.

BB Tech BB6 pistol

I can see some family resemblance to the Steyr pistols.

The manual safety is built into the trigger guard. The gun has some interesting sight options, as well as being optics-ready from the factory.

From the BBTechs website:

Thanks gc70.

The earlier Steyrs had a safety inside the trigger guard also. And those were also a Bubits design, I believe. I rather liked that earlier design, which was later dropped off the pistols during an upgrade.

I hope this pistol makes it into production and then goes on sale here in the US of A. Lots of choices is good and keeps the prices down for other guns.

I don't know how well it will sell, since the slide seems to be as wide as a Glock and it has a 7.5 lb trigger pull. But then, we can't really tell how it fits in the hand and what the trigger (and reset) are like until we give it a try. But at first glance, I don't see any point of great appeal to me.

Wait...

You mean to tell me there are TWO gun makers in Austria???

actually three (counting only the ones making semiautos, of course, there are a lot more producing bolt action rifles and the like),
- Steyr
- Glock
- ISSC Austria (the company obviously marketing the model in question which is also producing its own range of .22lr pistols)
