I took a trip to the new Bass Pro Shop in Round Rock, Texas.

They had lots of 22 lr, somewhat overpriced.

Aren't they making fun of this guys' speech impediment?

They have a huge isle of ammo. Unfortunately, the ammo is highly overpriced, which is why the only person in the isle is an employee.

End cap display of ammo. Again, no one buying.

The gun display. I asked a sales rep if they had the new H&K P30sk. His response was, 'We don't carry H&K'. In my head, I thought, '-CENSORED--CENSORED--CENSORED-!'

They have reloading components. Highly overpriced. $3.99 for 100 CCI primers?! $6.99 for 100 Remington primers?!

Look at these powder prices!

Bass Pro only had this one aquarium, from what I saw.

See the yellow ammo container for $6.99? Five minutes away at Academy, I purchased the same product for $4.29.

They have an archery range, which is cool.

They have a restaurant. I didn't eat there, but I am going to try it in the future.

The parking lot and store was packed, but the check out isles were relatively empty. The problem is that everything is very overpriced. You would think that for a grand opening, they would have sales and promotions. Nope. Everything I saw was full priced or higher. Eventually, I think that the Academy, which is 5 minutes down the street, will force the Bass Pro to start lowering prices.

One thing very positive about the new Bass Pro is that the store is nice, shiny, and clean.
