I have a very old Belgian Browning A5 (it isn't for sale) from the original 1903 production run. It has been handed down through the family and is in beautiful condition with one major exception.
Many years ago, the barrel was cut down. I believe my wife's grandfather did this to shoot rifled slugs - he was a deer hunter. The question I have: Where if anywhere can I find a replacement barrel? Vintage would obviously be preferred since this is a vintage A5 (serial number 452) made in 1903 - 1904.
Does anyone have any idea how much I should insure this for?
Any help would be appreciated!
