Wife talked me into going to the gun show at the Grimes County fairgrounds yesterday.
Second table I walked up to had this Trooper, and I was done!

Was tempted to buy a Winchester model 97 riot gun that was used at the Huntsville prison, but already have a short barreled coach gun with outside hammers.

Wow nice find. Looks like a trooper MKV aka the predecessor to the king cobra. These are pretty scarce. iIRC some MKIIIs also had vent ribs. Looks like factory nickel to boot. Was the seller good to you? I know most guns bring more in TX.

Being a MKV, I didn't feel $700.00 out the door was unreasonable, not a steal, but a fair price.

The picture really does'nt do it justice, it is a fine piece of workmanship.

I am surprised that my wife wanted to go after she just bought me the Kimber Ultra Crimson Trace 10 days ago for my birthday, she sure is a keeper in my book.

DANG, Grant - I hope you at least take her out & feed her every onest in awhile....... :p

Yup... took her to Kotts cafe in Anderson for flapjacks after the gunshow
Shot it a lunch today. At thirty five feet. First twelve rounds, high with center bull hold.
The rest with a six oclock hold. Not to bad for these old eyes lol
