Just picked up a SS VTR in 308. Harris Bi-Pod and Picatinny rail standard. Pleased that it has 10" twist because I have more 150s than another other weight. Got the Nikon M308 with Nikoplex. If this one shoots as well as the one I gave my son, I'll be happy, happy. He put a Magpul Hunter on his, so I'll be doing that after Christmas. Don't know about their lower for 10 round mags, so anyone have any experience with it?
 
Most of the 700's in 308 have 11.25 twists. The 10 twist you have will work better with bullets heavier than 150 gr, although I don't anticipate problems with that weight. The 10 twist will really shine with 200gr and heavier bullets though. Not many 308's are twisted for the really heavy 200-215 high BC bullets, but this one should work with them.
 
My R700 Varmint 308 with the 1-12" favors the 150-168 range. I don't see much accuracy with 175's. Your 1-10 will favor 168-175's ideally. Good luck !
