New .45 Auto for Christmas

I thought I would share the new Ruger P90 my wife got me for Christmas. According to Ruger's serial number register, this gun was made in 1993 or '94. It shoots great so far, after about 100 rounds. It is nothing to look at looks-wise, but I am glad to have a P90 back in the collection after about 15 years without one. Along with the Syperco Resilience and Leatherman Wingman, it makes a nice little EDC package.

The holster is the Speed Holster from Black Hills Leather. This is a great piece of leather for about $60. Nice and stiff leather, very secure on the belt, also the gun is tight until I draw very firmly.

I gave my wife one with the rubber Hogue grips for her first gun. She really liked it, but it's never something I'd imagine someone carrying. Maybe it was all mental, but the slide seems soo wide.

HistoryJunky, I had one years ago, but traded it away for something else and the the reason was I felt the trigger reach was too much in the DA mode. This one seems just about the right distance. I find it funny how things like that can change over the years.
