New .44 Special on the Range

Got my new Uberti .44 special out this morning and ran about thirty rounds through it. This with my pet handload:

The trigger pull was a little heavy with a slight amount of creep, that gritty feel of a new revolver. However it improved before I left the range, and after cleaning feels much better. Will shoot a few hundred rounds before I seek any trigger job.

I'm very pleased with this gun. It is very nicely fitted and finished, the only place where the high polish is not evident is under the trigger guard in front of the trigger, this so slight most wouldn't notice. I'm convinced this is a lot of gun for the money.

Love the 44 Special

When I got my Lipsey's Ruger Bisley (all steel), I was impressed. I thought I really liked my Bisley in 45 Colt, but the Special IS SPECIAL. 8.0gr of Unique under 240 Missouri or 17.0gr of 2400 under 240 RemSP. Mighty fine!

Just something about the 44 spcl, makes that nice big hole, is easy to shoot and for me at least is almost always the most accurate centerfire I shoot that day. I like yours a lot that would be a great holster gun for open carry. Looks nice and accurate to boot.

No more Rugers for me but I'd like to get more into .44 Special and
a Single Action like your or the EAA Bounty Hunter in .44 Mag looks
interesting.

czf you might take a look at the new model Vaqueros Ruger is making. They've slimmed down the gun just a bit and the annoying Ruger feature of the cylinder going just PAST loading position is now gone. A friend has a pair of them and they shoot very well.
