New 4" L-frame?

Does anyone know if S&W still makes a 4" .357 in an L-frame? I don't see any on their site.

Been away for a while.

The 4" 686 and 686P are both still standard production L frame revolvers.

If you want a K frame, the model 66 in 4" is still in current production.

Not really. I have a 65 in 3" and a 19 in 2 1/2". Just wanted to move up a bit and stay with .357. Although a .41 mag is tempting.

There is a limited run of blued 586 .357 mag if your interested.

41 mag isn't an N frame?

I was under the impression that the 686 was the only L frame gun around.

maybe I should go back and look again.

The Smith 41 mag is built on the N-Frame. The only caliber other than 357 mag (686 , 586 , 681 , 581) that was built on the L-Frame that I am aware of was the 44 Special (696 I believe) built several years ago. Someone else can probably add more info.

Yeah, I went back the S&W site and the 686/586 are the only L frame models in current production.

IIRC the L frame 44 special was a 5 shot.
